MELBOURNE, Jan 20 AAP - Jack Lockett, World War I veteran, farmer, 2000 Olympics torch
bearer and Australia's oldest man, turns 110 on Monday.

Born in the central Victorian town of Tarnagulla in 1891 and brought up in the Mallee
area of Victoria, John Henry Lockett enlisted in the First AIF on 24 March 1916, arriving
at the Western Front in France toward the end of that year.
